01 Nov It’s My 3 Year Flight Attendant Anniversary
I can’t believe it has been three years since I started training as a flight attendant. It seems like only yesterday I was going through the most grueling schedule of my life. An exhausting 10-14 hour day everyday with little sleep. I couldn’t wait until it was over. In that three years I have been through three different bases to try and find the right fit for me. It’s been a hard road at times and I still hate the struggle of commuting. In the past three years I have had the chance to visit some amazing places. If you have been following my blog then you already know that. I wanted to highlight a few of my favorites in this post as well as amazing crew I have flown with.
My First International Working Trip
Sao Paulo, Brazil was my first major international trip that I worked. Even though I definitely traveled internationally before becoming a flight attendant this was my first working one. I was lucky enough to get this trip while sitting reserve in Atlanta. I was super nervous of course, because I was the most junior and would probably get stuck with galley duties. It turned out to be an amazing trip with an awesome crew. I did get to venture around, but did not want to go far alone. I wasn’t with my other crew members on this trip like I am generally.
Reykjavik, Iceland
Iceland is another beauty I got on reserve. This is by far the one I was most excited about . I had been wanting to visit Iceland for a long time. I had read about The Blue Lagoon and couldn’t wait to go. The great thing about this trip is it was a 48 layover instead of the typical 24 layover that you generally have on international trips. I found Iceland to be very expensive but so worth it. You can check out my previous post about my adventures in Iceland on the blog.
This job and trips would not be amazing without the genuine people that I have the pleasure of working with. I value the friendships that I have made on this journey.

Layover Life
Currently, I am based in Detroit and we have transitioned into a beautiful new uniform this past summer. I love the classy style and rich color.
