24 Hours In Rome

Rome has to be one of my most exciting trips I have had in a long time.  The moment I found out I was going I could not contain my excitment.  My flight over all I could think about was the mouth watering food & historical sites I would finally get to see and check off my bucket list.  How would I be able to see all I could in 24 hours?  You won’t!  There is just too much to take in during such a short time.  The beautiful cobblestone streets, gelato on every corner, and amazing architecture is what makes Rome so unique.  I found myself taking pictures everywhere I turned.   For the short time I was there,  I managed to see some of the highligts Rome has to offer. I am excited to share them in this blog post.

Trevi Fountain

One of the most beautiful attractions in Rome, but can get very crowded during the day.  I had the chance to see this during the day and night.  Both were equally breathtaking.

The Colosseum

Centered in the heart of Rome this beautiful architecture was built between 70-80 AD.  The Colosseum could hold between 50,000-80,000 thousand spectators.  It was often used for gladiator contest and other entertainment.

Authentic Food (That’s Amore)

If you love Italian food as much as I do then you know this was the highlight of my trip. THE FOOD!! THE FOOD!! Appetizers consisted of an array of different pizzas to choose from.  You can not go to Italy without getting a pizza.  For my main entree I went with the Fetuccine Alfreda.  All pasta is made by hand daily and served to perfection and paired perfectly with a glass of wine.

Beautiful Architecture/Scenery

Remember earlier when I stated I was taking photos everywhere I turned. The architecture and scenery was immaculate.  There is so much history in this one city and many different cultures.

I’m so grateful I got to have this experience with such wonderful friends.  It made the trip much more amazing.
