Nawlins (MSY)

There is just a deliciousness whenever New Orleans comes to mind. I immediately start thinking about food and drinks. The spicy, cajun goodness melting on the roof of your mouth is enough to make your eyes roll back in the back of your head lol! I was lucky to travel there about a month ago with two great friends that were anxious to explore and eat as well. The very first time I visited New Orleans was years ago back in 2007. The city gave me a feeling of class and lots of character. I felt like I should have on a tight corset dress and twirl an umbrella in the streets. Our first stop was a cute tucked away restaurant that of course had live music. The atmosphere was laid back and intimate. Just what I love! We were all onboard for a Hurricane category 1 drink.

After our live entertainment and cocktails, next on the agenda was grabbing Beignets from the local Cafe Du Monde. These warmed, powdered, French style doughnuts are to die for. The line to get a seat was literally down the street. Beignets are served best with a glass of ice cold milk or coffee.

Even though my time was short in New Orleans, I’m thankful for experiencing, seeing, smelling, and tasting all the goodness it has to offer. Until next time Louisiana!!
